Hide Out of Stock Products ("the App") is a Shopify application that automatically archives products when their inventory reaches zero. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under GDPR and other privacy regulations.

Data We Collect

We collect and store only the minimum data necessary to provide our service:

• Shop Domain — Your Shopify store URL (e.g., example.myshopify.com)
• Auto-Archive Preference — Whether the feature is enabled or disabled for your store
• OAuth Session Data — Authentication tokens required to communicate with Shopify (encrypted, temporary)

How We Use Data

• To authenticate your shop and process inventory update webhooks from Shopify
• To maintain your auto-archive toggle preference (enabled/disabled)
• To register and manage webhooks that monitor inventory changes

What We Do NOT Collect

• No customer data — We never collect, store, or process customer information
• No order data — We do not access purchase history or order details
• No personal information — We do not collect names, emails, or contact details
• No payment information — Billing is handled entirely through Shopify

Data Storage & Security

All data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Access is restricted to authorized personnel only. We use Sentry for error monitoring, which captures anonymized error logs (no personal data).

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. Data is only used within the App and shared with Shopify as required for webhook processing.

Data Deletion

All data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App from your Shopify store. This includes:

• OAuth session tokens
• Auto-archive preference settings
• Webhook registrations

GDPR Compliance

We comply with all GDPR requirements, including:

• Right to Access — Request a copy of your stored data
• Right to Erasure — Request immediate deletion of your data

CCPA Compliance

For California residents: We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what data we collect and request its deletion.
